The InclusionHub Podcast | Episode 12: Founding Partner Spotlight — Salesforce

In this episode of our Founding Partner Series, Morey Creative’s Jeffrey Howard talks accessibility, inclusion, community, and much more with Catherine Nichols, Vice President of the Office of Accessibility at Salesforce.

Leading customer relationship management (CRM) software provider Salesforce has long been a leader in championing a vast number of social causes both inside and outside the workplace.

From its 1-1-1 model for giving back and co-founding the global movement Pledge 1% to its many programs and initiatives striving to improve digital accessibility, disability inclusion, and DEI—Salesforce has wielded a seismic impact on its employees, customers, stakeholders, and the global community at large.

In this episode of our Founding Partner Series highlighting the extraordinary businesses and people who sponsor InclusionHub and make The InclusionHub Podcast possible, Jeffrey Howard of Morey Creative Studios speaks with Catherine Nichols, Vice President of the Office of Accessibility at Salesforce.

Their wide-ranging conversation covers so many of the core themes that’ve been at the heart of our mission and threaded throughout our show from its inception—from the importance of improving accessibility and inclusion, for all, to digital design, the power of partnerships, and of course, community. They discussed Salesforce’s ongoing advancements of UN Sustainable Development Goals, its Workforce Navigators Program with the Blind Institute of Technology, and so much more!

Welcome to another episode of our Founding Partner Series, spotlighting InclusionHub Founding Partner Salesforce!

Episode Guest

Joining Jeffrey Howard of Morey Creative Studios is Catherine Nichols, a 16-year veteran of Salesforce and Vice President of its Office of Accessibility.

Here’s a snippet from their extraordinary conversation, about just one of the company’s many initiatives striving to improve accessibility, inclusion, and equality, for all, and ensure everyone has a voice:

“One of my favorite stories of the company is [that] we have an employee resource group, or equality group as we call them at Salesforce, called Abilityforce,” she tells Jeffrey. “And it is for people with disabilities, as well as our allies and caregivers.

“And we have many different subgroups of Abilityforce as well, that are based on particular disabilities,” continues Nichols. “Whether it’s d/Deaf and hard of hearing, the neurodivergent community, Black, blind and low vision—we have a bunch of parents of children with disabilities, and we have a bunch of subgroups, as well as international-based groups.”
