Pieces of an Accessibility Audit: Semantics, Design Patterns, and Attributes;Oh My! Presented by TPGi
Thursday, June 26, 2025 12:00 PM EST
Tags: Accessibility, Virtual, Free
One of the many things considered during an accessibility audit is ensuring that content presented visually is also properly conveyed programmatically. Every piece of content, control, or widget used on a page must also convey information such as its accessible name, expected role, current attributes, and value, as appropriate, and behave expectedly. Your content (beautiful as it may be) isn’t a two-dimensional piece of art hanging on the wall;it’s an interactive experience for your users. An experience that needs functional and interactive design considerations. Join TPGi’s Accessibility Engineer, Wes Estes, as we explore the intricacies of semantics, design patterns, and attributes;oh my!

Whether that was due to the lack of covid precautions or inaccessible venues, many events this year were not inclusive. We listened to our community members and decided to work together to put together this event. It has been a resounding success with many saying this was the first pride they were ever able to attend!
